How do I allocate functions to menu
		profiles?

Menu profiles are used to give access
to different functions within the program to different types of user.
Menu profiles are first set up in
Maintain Menu Profiles, and then have functions allocated to
			them.

overview of how menu profiles are used.

These instructions give you information about:

			Profiles that
			only contain functions
If the profile you are amending has only a small
number of functions (such as clocking on/off, booking holiday and
checking timesheets), you may like to have these three functions
showing on the menu bar. To achieve this:

				Select
				Profile Functions from the menu.
				From the list of
Menu Profiles on the left hand side of
the screen, select the profile that you want to amend.

				The Available Functions
column shows the menus and functions
that are available to allocate to the profile.

Highlight the functions in the Available
				Functions list.
				Press the
<< button to transfer them to
				the Allocated Functions list.
If you want to alter the order in which the functions appear on
the menu bar, select one of the functions in the Allocated
Functions list, and use the Up and Down buttons to move it up or down the list. The item at the top of
the list will appear at the left on the menu bar.
Once you have added all the functions and put them in the order
				you want, click Save.

			Profiles with menus and functions
If the profile you are creating has a number of
functions, you may like to group these within menus, to make
navigation easier for the user. To do this:

Select Profile Functions from the menu.

From the list of Menu Profiles on the left hand side of
the screen, select the profile that you want to set up.
				If you are
editing an existing profile, the menus and functions available
to that profile are displayed in the Allocated Functions column.
				The Available Functions
column shows the menus and functions
that available to allocate to the profile.

				In
the Available Functions list, highlight the first menu
that you want to add. Menus can be identified as they have empty
brackets following their name, and a capital M (e.g. Flexitime
() - M). You may find it easiest to start with the
menu that you want to appear at the left of the menu bar.

Click << to transfer this to the
				Allocated Functions
				list.

				In
the Available Functions list, highlight the functions
that you want to appear under the menu.

Click << to transfer these to the
				Allocated Functions
list. The functions will appear directly under the menu.

				If you want to
create a sub-menu under a menu, add the sub-menu and the
functions that you want to appear in it to the Allocated
				Functions list.

				If
you want to alter the order in which the functions or sub-menus
appear in the menu, select one of the functions in the
Allocated Functions list, and use the Up and Down
buttons to move it up or down the list. The item at the top
of the list will appear at the top of the menu list.
				You
now need to indent the functions so that they are displayed
				under the menus and sub-menus.

Highlight one of the functions, and click the -> button. This inserts a hyphen before the function name
indicating that it is a function under a menu.

Highlight one of the menus, and click the -> button.
This inserts a hyphen before the menu name indicating
					that it is a sub-menu.

Highlight a function in the sub-menu, and click the ->
button twice. This inserts two hyphens before the
function name indicating that it is a function in a
					sub-menu.

Repeat steps 1 to 8 for each of the menus that you want to add.
